🌼 Growing Information
White Prairie Clover (Dalea candida) is a native perennial adapted to dry prairies and grasslands. It prefers full sun and grows best in dry to average, well-drained soil. Mature plants typically reach 1–3 feet in height and bloom in early to mid-summer with upright spikes of white flowers. This species is native to central North America and is hardy in USDA zones 3–8.
Seeds benefit from scarification and cold stratification for best germination and are best fall-sown outdoors or pretreated before spring planting. Germination may be slow, but established plants are long lived and drought resilient.
