Back to buying optionsStephania Cepharantha Live Caudex Plant, Bare Root Lucky Turtle Plant, Collector Caudiciform Bulb Style Plant
Add an unusual caudiciform plant to your collection with this live Sinningia leucotricha, commonly known as Queen of the Cliff. This distinctive species develops a rounded to flattened tuberous caudex and is especially admired for its soft, silvery foliage covered in fine white hairs.
During active growth, Sinningia leucotricha produces fuzzy stems and leaves followed by attractive tubular flowers under favorable growing conditions. Its sculptural caudex and unusual foliage make it an excellent choice for collectors of rare plants, caudex plants, and unusual container specimens.
You will receive a bare-root tuber without active leaves. This is normal for a dormant plant. Once planted under suitable conditions and as its active growing season begins, new shoots and foliage can emerge from the tuber.

💡 Care Tip: Plant the bare-root tuber in a loose, fast-draining growing mix and avoid burying the entire caudex deeply. Keep it in bright, filtered light rather than intense direct sun. Once active growth appears, water carefully while allowing good drainage. As the plant enters dormancy, foliage may naturally yellow, brown, and die back. Remove fully dried foliage and substantially reduce watering until new growth begins. Avoid keeping a dormant tuber continuously wet, as excess moisture can encourage rot.
