Sempervivum Chick Charms® 'Candied Apple' is a vibrant, cold-hardy hens and chicks succulent featuring stunning ruby-red, green, and orange rosettes that resemble the glossy colors of a candied apple. As temperatures cool, the foliage intensifies into deeper shades of crimson and burgundy, providing exceptional year-round color and winter interest.

This evergreen perennial forms dense clusters of offsets ("chicks"), creating a beautiful, low-maintenance groundcover that spreads naturally over time. Its compact rosette habit makes it perfect for rock gardens, fairy gardens, containers, living walls, trough gardens, alpine plantings, and xeriscapes.

Extremely drought tolerant once established, 'Candied Apple' thrives in full sun and well-drained soil while requiring very little maintenance. Like all Sempervivums, mature rosettes bloom once before naturally producing numerous offsets that continue the colony for years of beauty.

Care Tips

Plant in sandy, rocky, or cactus soil with excellent drainage. Grow in full sun for the brightest foliage color. Water sparingly, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings. Avoid overwatering, especially during winter. Mature rosettes flower once before naturally dying, while numerous new "chicks" continue growing around the parent plant. Separate offsets anytime to expand your garden.
