Rainbow Chameleon (Houttuynia cordata), also known as Fish Mint, is a colorful spreading ground cover plant admired for its vibrant foliage and vigorous growth habit. This live plant is especially suitable for shaded gardens, moist landscape areas, pond edges, rain gardens, and ground cover planting.

This perennial typically grows about 1 foot tall and spreads continuously along the ground as it matures, creating a dense ornamental carpet of foliage. It is highly shade tolerant and performs best in moist soil to shallow water conditions of approximately 1–2 inches deep. Small white flowers appear on spikes surrounded by four white bracts, adding seasonal interest to the foliage display.
