Purple American Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana), also known as French Mulberry, is a native deciduous shrub admired for its clusters of vibrant purple berries that provide striking seasonal color. This ornamental shrub is commonly planted in wildlife gardens, native landscapes, hedgerows, and mixed shrub borders.
American Beautyberry is valued for its attractive arching branches, green foliage, and colorful berry display that persists into fall. It is an excellent choice for naturalized landscapes, pollinator gardens, and native plant collections.
