Add a fascinating, low-maintenance carnivorous plant to your collection with this Mexican Butterwort (Pinguicula moranensis or a closely related hybrid). Its soft, fleshy leaves produce a sticky coating that traps small insects such as fungus gnats and fruit flies. Mature plants can produce beautiful violet flowers, making this plant both functional and ornamental. Unlike Venus flytraps, Butterworts catch insects passively without moving traps or requiring hand-feeding. Each plant arrives rooted in a small growing-medium plug, along with a printed care guide. Pots and additional growing medium are not included.

๐ก Care Tip
Place your Butterwort in bright, indirect light and water from below using a shallow tray. Avoid misting the leaves, as this can wash away their sticky insect-catching coating and increase the risk of crown rot. Never use standard potting soil or regular fertilizer. Mexican Butterworts may develop smaller, thicker leaves during their seasonal succulent phase; this is a normal part of their growth cycle.
