Hosta 'Great Expectations' is one of the most admired giant variegated hostas, prized for its spectacular foliage that transforms throughout the growing season. Thick blue-green margins surround a dramatic center that emerges chartreuse in spring before maturing to creamy yellow and finally soft white in brighter shade. Its bold foliage creates a lush, tropical appearance in woodland gardens and shaded landscapes.
In midsummer, elegant stalks of lightly fragrant white flowers rise above the foliage, attracting hummingbirds, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators. Though slow growing, this award-winning hosta rewards gardeners with increasingly impressive foliage each season.
Perfect for woodland gardens, shaded borders, foundation plantings, containers, and under mature trees, Hosta 'Great Expectations' is an easy-care perennial that provides decades of dependable beauty.
