Grow your own cotton tree with this live Ceiba pentandra starter plant, an unusual tropical perennial known for its bright yellow flowers and cotton-like seed fibers. In warm conditions, this distinctive plant can flower through much of the year and develop seed pods containing soft, fluffy fibers when mature. Originally observed growing near the ocean on Kauai, this variety is described as tolerant of salty coastal air, making it an interesting option for suitable coastal gardens. With enough space and favorable conditions, it can grow into a small ornamental tree with an attractive tropical appearance. Each plant is grown without pesticides or chemical treatments in Central Florida and arrives as a live, rooted starter plug approximately 4–8 inches tall. Plant size and fullness may vary naturally.
